achievements not unlocking

completing levels playing multiplayer and the achievements are not unlocking. What's going on with this?

I had the same problem but for me it's because I've been playing offline on the bus, which tells me I have to be online to have these achievements unlocked

strange thing was we were online playing and at the end of the level it acted like we lost connection and then there was no achievement. So we played the level again and same thing. Then we moved on to the next level and same. Really strange. I still got my headshot achievement but nothing for completing the chapters. I think I might try to play them solo, see if that works out (thinking it was playing multiplayer that was giving it trouble?) Have you gone back on and played online and had no problem? Really digging the game, nice break from straight shooting :)

Anyways I've been meaning to 100% this game so I need to get this issue fixed. I was wondering if you've had any progress?

To answer your question, getting back online doesn't fix anything, I play and meet the requirements for an achievement (something as simple as finishing a chapter, or playing all mini games), and it won't unlock the achievement. I think I remember in another thread someone suggesting a solution, like erasing the game and redownloading it as a new game, if I find it I'll let you know

I have the fix for you (I know because I just had the exact same problem)..
Its annoying because I had to play through about 2 hrs again just for this one achievement but at least i got it now and can finish the rest..

FIX:
1. Disable Steam Cloud Sync for TOTD.
2. navigate to %APPDATA%\Sega\Typing of the Dead Overkill ((THIS IS IN YOUR USER FOLDER))
3. Move BOTH fnhotd and config files to desktop or somewhere else as backup. (This is your game saves / config) I dont know if both need to be moved but I did.
4. Start TOTD and it should be a completely fresh game without any level progress, simply now do whatever achievement you need to do and afterwards you can replace the newly created save/config files with your old original ones with proper progress, re-enable steam cloud and now you can be happy you have your achievement/s.

Hope this helps someone.

thanks for the info! I went back on solo and got the acheivements, just sucked having to replay everything all over again. Haven't tried to play coop again, might try and see if it was just a weird night or something. If not, then I will try to perhaps do this fix.

It does for me. Thank you so very, VERY much for this; it helped me unlock the Knee Trembler achievement, which didn't work for me for some reason.
