Can't start the game after menu
Hello there. I've just recently bought the game and I can't seem to start playing it after I click play on the menu. It just freezes and then completely shuts off with no notification or message after. What could be causing this?

I'm sorry you're having this issue. When on the main menu, press the "~" key on the keyboard, then type (without " marks): "open paranormal2" and then press enter. That should load the house level. Does that work?

Just for the record, I have the same issue (Intel i7 Sandy Bridge 3.4 GHz, 8 GB RAM, Geforce 550 Ti, Windows 7 64-bit) and the console command given is the only way I can start the game.

I've been having the same issue and have had to use the console command. Also noticed that clicking or pressing certain things don't respond at all. Thus sometimes hitting escape does nothing or if I'm clicking start, nothing happens. Still, loving this game! :D Can't wait for more!

Thanks for giving your specs. It would seem the problem is definitely not related to computer strength, so it's going to be a bit easier to figure out what's causing it now.

The mouse position is off. It's actually lower then the displayed cursor. If you click above play the selection screen appears. Clicking play is as if you'd click stop.

Yeah, that's definitely a problem with our current menu system. We're working on replacing it soon. Been hard at work on it :)
