I was going to give this game an Alpha review, but I decided to list a few things I feel needs to be added or change before I put one out.

1. I found needed in this game is the ability to tell your builders to build or remove something first, then do something else. (Unlike the real world, if you tell your guys to remove an outside wall while they are building an extension. They will stop everything they are doing to remove that wall. In fact, I've seen it where they stopped everything to remove 1 of 10 wall panels. Then they went back to what they were doing. This obviously killed everyone inside.)
UPDATE: The same thing needs to happen with the repairs.

2. One thing that should change in the AI is where they decide to workout and play games. Like in the real world, the AI should only work out in gyms. (It's kinda odd seeing an AI working out over a dead body, over someone sleeping in a bed, in a workspace, or in a bar.)
As far as the games, I think the AI should only be able to play games in the residential area and the bar.

3. At this time it's too easy to make a perfect station.

Obviously, this may change in the FOOD/GARDENS update. However, something that could solve that right now is being "forced" to make rooms for each AI. By forced I mean the AI will do a better job or something if they have their own rooms.

4. MODS. One of the biggest things that can help this game is the ability for devs to make their own mods for this game. Kinda like Kerbal Space Program, Minecraft, and many other games.

5. The ability to turn on and off things. For example, I have a bad fire or a bad person in a room. I can just turn off the air and suck all the air in space.

so i hope you don't mind that i play tested it before buying(6 hours of playtest :D have a good alpha station)
1. needs ability to remove dead bodies
2. AI is quite... hmm dumb

soo ive tried redownloading this game 8 times tonight and it dowloads but then when i click play my screen flashes and thats all i even tried the ALT-Enter command just incase that was the what was wrong but it ddidnt help it seems that the game just dosent want to play on my windows laptop any help or suggestions?

My 'away team' went to explore a derelict, but they all started hovering by the door and wouldn't go in, or return. I tried switching them to a different job, as well as other things, but they would not budge. There was a monster inside the derelict do I had sent quite a few of my guys out there. I turned it off after they started suffocating and dying. I love the game, but the AI could use some tweaking.

Guys, I started to build a station, but forgot to build Matter Refinery. At the moment I have 66 matter the game suggests to vaporize some constructions. I have 2 oxygen generator, so I want to demolish one of them. But I cannot find the button to do this (Demolish and Erase don't work for this).
How to vaporize constructions?

Well I'd love to say this is a very fun and frustrating game all at the same time. MANUAL priority schedualling is a must, kinda like the sims if they are doing something you dont want to you just X out what they are doing. Another is just the "dumb" AI like who would just walk past an enemy that is shooting at them come on. I also noticed that for some reason I can't demolish doors. O and if someone is in a room that is schedualed for demolish don't demolish unless that person is clear of that room. My techs are also having a very hard time keeping equipment running I find it easier and less fires, if I just rebuild it. ALSO I am having a glitch where my crew is fighting an enemy but fly their space suits to the edge of the map and just stay there and die.

Its more 'dwarf fortress in space' then the sims, just pointing taht out (we shouldnt be able to cancel what they are doing they should be smart enough to know what to do)

I joined the games offical fourms, yet i cant start a new thread, or add a new post, despite being logged in. Its really annoying because my guys keep starving to death withn the fist ten minutes of starting the game. Happens every time i start a new base.

Don't worry, they read here, they just don't respond as such. But they've proven they're listening (and one of my suggestion/threads is even part of Alpha 3.) They probably prefer you use the DF forums, but they do read it all.

Haven't found this question asked in the FAQ, so I'll ask it here:
Are players able to rotate the plane around? I've not figured out a means yet, so I'm assuming it's not possible, but if I could just get a confirmation, that'd be great!

No, it's not possible unfortunately. We'd have to do a lot of extra art, but maybe someday...
