Technicians won't maintain my base?
Any way to get them to fix something without meandering off 3 seconds later?

I'm having the same issue. I had several 4 and 3 star technicians and they just would not maintain the base. All 12 people in my crew died due to no oxygen.

It just happened to me... I had everyone panicking about oxygen because a technician wouldn't maintain the base... in the process they all died. I really, really hope they fix this in the next update... its kinda game breaking to have to destroy and replace Life Support systems...

the O2 programing ratio is off they need to fix it. You need two O2 recyclers at the start. In fact I keep one more than needed the entire game now.

Actually, I think it depends on the size of your base... I had around 6 O2 Recyclers over a large area and it appears that the O2 might spread out... but your probaly right as well, lol

I keep mine all in the same area so the tech do a better job of fixing them. I have found spreading them out doesnt help at all. It may in the future.

I tend to spread mine out - But then again, I have 5 Level 5 Techs maintaining them... It took forever too, dem chestbusters. Lol

I've stacked close to 20 o2 rec's in one area and had 6 3-5 star maintainers...entire base asphixated cause nothing got maintained.

The only solution I have currently is when they get weak remove and rebuild them. I now keep two rooms. Once they all get low I rebuild all in the 2nd room and demolish the first room.

Not to mention nothing else really gets maintained...

that is a good way to handle it I have used that tactic before as well. Havent had to in a while tho. I only add O2 units as new workers arive. Since the new patch I always have one more O2 unit than is needed. I find this seems to work better since the O2 program equation is off a bit. Also because they cannot fix a large amount of O2 units when you only have a few techs and none of them being 5 star.

I do the same tactic for doors, build one next to the broken one and then demo it.

Sad techs?

Their morale probably low, sad crewman wont work. Try to build their needs. If that wont work, then theres an AI problem.

The O2 code problem gets worse with larger bases.
My O2 ratio is 80 citizens to 120 O2 and the corridors and rooms all show as 85% roughly.
As soon as I hit 90 people, O2 drops below 50% and I start having huge problems.
Always have some overhead.. and never put all your trust into only one lifesupport room.
