COME BACK DOUBLEFINE!!!
We understand you thoroughly enjoyed your Amnesia Fornight. Good Job. But can you come back and work on this now please? I payed for it because it looked like a good premise, but there hasn't been any progress in FOREVER! *Makes me sad :(*

I knew it. Even on sale it's a rip-off.
Vex Malleus Mar 26 @ 11:27am
I don't agree it's a rip off, but I would like the Devs to at least acknowledge where they are and when we can expect the next update.

it's not a rip off imo
but it is about time to see a sign of life from the devs (one that does not say refactoring, come back next year)
been a while since they put anything new on the dev plan (short term).

If you watch their last update video on youtube, they do say that they wouldn't be doing updates for 2 weeks due to their Amnesia Fortnight, which was fine, it's for charity and stuff and they told us where they were. But I haven't seen any update since they left, and that was AGES ago... Kinda gutted :(

I agree it's a ripoff. They must be joking asking this much for such a incomplete game. This is what you get for 'supporting a company' these days.

You obviously never bought Towns then...

Compared to most other pre-completion releases, this is one of the good guys.

Agreed, and once you figure it out, it's quite entertaining!

Early Access is a big gamble. Some of the ones I bought 1 to 2 yrs ago are still not done or released yet. I for one loved the idea at first, but I just basically bypass any now. I'm having a hard time with 'finished and released' games being broken or full of bugs as it is, so adding 'work in progress' titles is making me even more annoyed with the gaming industry.
But hey, that's just me.

Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the heads up, they've done the same thing with other games too, left them a buggy mess with promises to fix it but then never fixing them and simply abandoning them all together.

The only two games I've ever seen complete from early access was Terraria. There are a lot of games still where the devs still patch. I'm going to keep an eye on this game as it is right up my alley. It doesn't seem too long either since the last update according to this forum

Early Access might be a big gamble. Yes we are paying to beta test a game. But IMO the Devs should be able to give weekly updates. All if I care.. just post anything.. Maybe post that the post man dropped a mug of coffee on the lead artist's computer , resulting in a big loss of date..

please devs , a plead to you all.. KEEP US UPDATED !!

Meh I bought Minecraft in Alpha and it delieverd. I expect better from doublefine, they're hardly the most awful games developers...

It will be up to the consumers to start demanding roadmaps and more communication before putting money down for early access I think. You can definately see buyers are getting wise with time :) though not saying this is a rip off or anything, but certainly not all early access games have the same production efficiency. This seems to be on the slower side thus far.

Kentucky Route Zero I think holds the crown for slowest early access build. Or maybe tha'ts released now and still not done..haven't checked in.
