This game seems to run a great deal smoother than Tropico 4, in fact I'd say it's as smooth as the island rum I make the peasants distill for me which I've given the distinguished name of "Mein Führerious Alkohol".
It is indeed a great deal of fun making decisions to see how close to a Caribbean 1984 you can make your island, I can truly see why our real-world leaders are constantly making choices to bring us closer to that reality. The revamped military is also worth mentioning, rather then turning their rifles on the more... vocal Tropicans, there are actual enemy armies to engage from time to time.
The other notable addition is multiplayer. It's a fairly well done implementation, though likely won't be the main focus of most players. Perhaps this game can best be summed up by a saying from the great Sun Tzu, "Blame it on the goose/ got me feeling loose/ blame it on patron/ got me in the zone/ blame it on the a-a-a-a-a-a-alcohol."
