The game will not be on sale this year, but the game runs fine, is fun and doesn't crash for me.

I don't have any crashing problems, but whether it's worth it or not really depends on what you're looking for or expect it to be. Its just impossible to say in general. Basically it's a comlpex economic/social simulation and it's about analyzing causes and effects. If you REALLY like that idea a lot then t's probably worth buying now. If it just sounds vaguely interesting then maybe wait for a sale.

to you maybe, but the game sells extremely well. Where would steams forums be if everyone who chose not to buy a game went and debated the price for every game they did not buy? :D

I've run the game on my Win8, Win7 and Vista PC's and had zero crashes. Could be that you're running out of Memory, that causes crash on any game.
Doesn't run well on my Win8 Pro tablet though... Touch doesn't work too well.
Biggest problem with this game though is that it gives too much credit to Socialist Policies and doesn't realistically model the Free Market.
As an example, if you cut Capital Gains taxes and Corporate Taxes, instead of International companies flocking to your shores, (like in the real world) your GDP takes a dump and unemployment spikes?!?

Good idea, ask people who are playing the game (and so obviously will like it). You should try the Democracy 2 demo, as this game is more of an expanded and more refined version of that.

By the way, R2 still sucks.

I have had no problem running the game in Windows 7. Having said that, after 4 hours of play I am very disappointed and would not recommend purchasing. I'm not going to get into why, as I don't want to invest any more time in this game. I enjoy strategy games, but in this one I welcome the assassination that comes when I don't satisfy some fringe group.

Personally, I think it's a great game and I REALLY love the premise. I just wish it was a bit more realistic. (Armed Police ENCOURAGE criminals to carry guns???). It just seems to me like it was written by Leftists. All the "Good" choices, are with bigger governments, less private schools, less private healthcare, more State Workers, so on and so forth.

This type of game is not worth the current price, no matter how good it is. Its just 7 euros cheaper than Bioshock Infinite for crying out loud! 50% off and i will buy it.
