I was playing "Remember Me" recently - it also has this stupid markers to show you where to go?!
It feels pointless when you've reached then next area?
I can't understand why devs/publishers would do this especially with the internet available for hints/walkthroughs etc ? Its like they are trying to cater for a wider audience, an audience with little patient..?
I was also playing mirrors edge (what a game btw!) and disabled the hint/highlighting. Makes the game so much more satisfying as you've said!
these new generation gamers/devs! gosh :P
