Even when most of game is basically big long escort mission developer were able to do it in the way that it did not frustrate at least me. Maybe am a little bit of knight my-self but at least I loved trying to save Tripikata time after time. That made this title unique and great.
My net is very unstable today, because someone is doing a lazy job, so I decided to do another run with this game, got the "Steam couldn't not sync with cloud" message as usual when offline, but when I was in the game, it had nothing saved!
So I left alone, and tried again after got my net working, and my progress was there.
So, this is one of these games that need to be online to access your save? If not, you have to start from scratch? This sucks a lot!
No I have played this game in Steam offiline mode with no problem. When i go back online it automatically syncronize saves with Steam cloud. I think you have suffered some type of Steam cloud bug some other games have occassionally suffered from same type of bugs.
My guess is that Steam attempted syncronize saves from cloud and it got interrupted some way and that erased your local saves and bug made steam think that saves in cloud are newer than local saves.
I think you can also turn steam cloud syncronize off from preferences and game works just fine and dont syncronize to cloud.
Also files on hardrive could rarely get corrupted. Industry standard in hardrives are that average about one file in two million files get corrupted. If no more corruption occurs then hardrive is said to work as standard says. For this I mean when your computer saves file on harddrive chance to save it correctly is not actually 100% there is one chance in two million that file gets corrupted on average.
PS: Pigsy's perfect 10 sucks.
And the game don't really give the solutions to every area, you have to figure it for yourself. Only at the begining and when it introduces a new mechanic there are tips, but that is common of any game.
And the platforming is more for the Monkey to be.. well, a monkey! And some will require timing, or you might die, or get hurt. How was suppose to be, slippery? Holding a buttom?
The story is fine for me. Based on the chinese story.
Fly by Camera moving around all of time make my head hurt quite rapidly. It won’t make game unplayable but it is sometimes bit irritating.
Game mechacincs is about average what you see in action adventure games but story is what makes this game strong. Especially character interaction is strong and tied up very well to levels and story.
