Worst Menu I've ever seen in gaming.
"LK Accept MK Cancel" What the actual ♥♥♥♥. Yes now I know its z and x but that's just plain stupid design. Mouse doesn't work, Enter doesn't work, but Escape works. Great.

... The menu controls change when you change the fighting controls... Fantastic.

Also, using "MK LK MP HP" etc for telling us how to do anything, is just terrible. How about showing the keys we actually have those bound to? Or hell even 1-6. MK HP LK MK JK LP is so damn confusing.

Its obviously a UI that was designed with the Console version in mind but its really not that bad.

You don't use the mouse. Z is for 'okay' and X is for 'back'. Have you tried setting your controls?

...I said in the original post that I know its Z and X. Also, getting to the control settings would require knowing how to navigate the menu -.-

nah, poster has a really good point. The whole no mouse support and "LK" "MK" thing is confusing first time in.

There's not anyway your first time trying to play to figure that out w/out hitting the web or lots of trial and error.
Technically the commands are set up for fightsticks. People set up fight sticks differently. Its up to you to attribute what button is what. Literally every fighting game is like this, i dare you to find one that isnt. Even on consoles they have it set up as MK HP Etc. with at most what the default button attributed to that command up top, but definitely not the commands. Furthermore commands are necessary in order to have a certain amount of universality between players. anyone worth their salt knows what lp mp hp means, but at the same time, no one is going to have the same buttons attributed to those commands.

Yep. The bulk of fighting game players are using sticks, and the controls make perfect sense for sticks. Skullgirls was and is a game made by fighting game fans for fighting game fans. Welcome to tournament fighters, OP.

In SF4 yes the accept/cancel buttons are bound to LK and MK HOWEVER, the UI is set up to tell you which buttions you have bound to what so the help thing at the bottom of the screen says "A - Accept, B - Cancel" not "LK - Accept, MK - Cancel" like it does in SG.

I think its a fair critisism that the UI for Skullgirls is pretty bad, but he's really blowing the problem way out of proportion.
