2. there is scheduled dlc for this year so I would NOT expect a sequel anytime soon, the closest thing to it would be frequent content updates.
I came because of Mike Z's kick ass Tager play back in Blazblue CT.
weird, i came for the all girl cast + a balanced version of MvC.
Those who didn't get the game solely because of the aesthetics, well, still play the game. Now check how many people currently play the game in comparison to before and do the math.
I personally only got the game because I felt it looked sick (Peacock is cool) and consequently got me into fighting games. I think I've spent more time playing other titles over the GGPO networking library waiting for the game to come out on PC than playing the game itself.
The orrigional version of the OST in on itunes. No Squigly/Big Band songs though.
I was only vaguely aware of Skullgirls until the IGG campaign (I'm pretty casual when it comes to fighting games), when I heard about L0 offering the Z Engine to Mane6 devs if they hit some stretch goal. Took a good look after that and got sucked in by the lovely art/animation and imaginative world. Glad I decided to take the plunge =)
People who like very emphasized anime/manga will like this game. However since Street Fighter is still the most popular fighting game (at least on the consoles) you shouldn't be putting away your SF for long
