If you had just done:
c. LP, c. HP, j. LP, j. MK, Air Dash, j. MK
You wouldn't get a burst, because it would break down like so:

(Watched) Second Chain. Stage 3: j.LP,j.MK
(Watched) Stage 4: j.MK
Stage 4 is used when doing an Air-dash or Fly cancel from Stage 3 (And only Stage 3).
