The game has another file called "dreamkiller.ex" which is mentioned in the steam install vdf script. I wonder if the game actually runs it as an executable. As far as I know, it can't be given administrative privilages or be set to compatibility mode unless it has an executable extension. This is a pretty dead forum, and my web searches for other techinical help have not turned up very much, but if anyone has a suggestion, that would be great!
Go into your program files(x86), go to Steam, SteamApps, Common, Dreamkiller, redist, PhysX, then run the installer. DING!
