I'm writting this review mostly because I can already tell this game's success is gonna be heavily reliant on how it does on release. But anyway let's get on with it.
-Does it play good ?
SNOW is pretty much just an open world skiing simulator and just like skiing it takes a while to get into but when you do it is truly fun to just ski around exploring all of the map and finding little marks around it and an ocasional skiing pal.
-Does it look good ?
Yes SNOW looks amazing. It does an amazing job at using the cryengine to it's fullest. The game looks amazing and it runs incredible smoothly at it's maximum settings.
-Does it sound good ?
SNOW's sound track asside from the typical SFX is highly reliant on having you listen to several tracks while you play. I myself found the mix pretty decent and fitting to the action although I could clearly see this coming to personal taste.
-What's the problem with it then ?
There are no real problems technicly asside from the ocasional T pose ragdoll or slight collision bugs but these are really rare and tolerable I guess since it is a beta. The problem comes in the game's F2P system. It's a pure F2P system meaning you get all the game has to offer without having to pay anything (like dota2) wich means it's reliant on selling it's cosmetics and advertisement. This will really make or break the lifetime of this game and was my prime reason to write this review seeing as I would like to see this game go far and suceed.
-Final Note and Score.
SNOW is a game that should be experienced and I really recomend giving it a try when it's out. I'm sure the current issues will be sorted out with time and maybe some more things will get added to it like dismounting your skis so I can have incredible long snow walks or go uphill
Snow gets a solid 8/10
It's good but it's only catering to a specific crowd so keep that in mid.
