King Arthur II - The Role-playing Wargame

Do not buy - unplayable
I'm not sure what configuration actually works with this game, but I have a Core2Quad/GTX480 and a Core i7/260m and neither config will get beyond 2 fps at the OPENING MENU. After about 30 seconds it locks up completely and crashes. Unbelievable. I can play Total War: Shogun at 40 fps with no hiccups. Why was this released at all? There must be a a bad story here.

This is the first game that my computer has had problems with. I've run like Battlefield 3 and Crysis like a champ.

Anyways, just lower settings is what I recommend. The game franchise is good enough to put up with any errors. I adored the first game.

3 different exe only for the 64bit version but the steam button play always chose the wrong one not sure if it works if i click on the right one i'm scared to install it i think i'll change it

Certainly a compatiblity/driver/wathever... problem, the game don't launch since the last steam patch tought.

Better wait for a patch from the dev.

Btw KA2 is Worth his price.

Try looking at the first king arthur. It is a more stable more in depth version of the second.

Game runs perfecty for me on max graphics in both the campaign map and battles. Smooth and no crashes, freezes or major bugs.

Try placing the application to high priority through the process tab in the task manager and running the game form the exe instead of through steam (but you still need steam open)

As stated in a lot of other topics and on some obscure corners of the internet, try going to where steam installed the game and try launching one of the CoreTech2.exe files. After fiddeling around with that for a bit I landed on one that worked for me and the game ran like a charm. So instead of bashing it for not working instantly try putting in some effort cause after that its a gem of a game.

Edit:
In my case Im running a 64 bit system while the game is trying to launch the 32 bit application which I think causes some errors for the poor thing :P

I guess it's a steam fault i'll buy it and i'll cross my fingers :s

My original point was centered around the apparent lack of QA for something as simple as steam integration. Sure eventually the community will come to the rescue, or someone will determine a work around out of sheer frustration; thats the beauty of PC gaming. For something to be so broken coming right out of the gate usually points to a serious issue at the studio. I would expect a patch to fix that within days... I have never seen it.

Cata the problem is that this game work worst on high level PCs he really hate 64bit , and this is not ecsusable in a game made in 2012
