The latter isn't entirely true; you only need to RMB/edgescroll while standing still. If you move the mouse while walking, you change your facing.
while for pepole who have played it in the past are fine and it gives them more to see for new players it makes it harder and more fustarting.
i have pepole play nyst all the time. those who play it for the first time using free rome mode or befor this the other real myst tend to not like it. they feel all the puzzles are more obscure and it feels more like pixel hunting then puzzle solving
this is becuse controlling where the camera can look helps tell the user whats importent without being to obviuos.
i have played myst and riven nearly 100(i replayed them over and over as a kid like other kids replayed the same movie do) times and exile and revlations 20 times each.
if it was not for knowing where to look finding where to look in real myst is alot harder. now you want to remove the way the mouce works that helps hunt for things to click on even further.
just play it in clasic mode
YEAH. This game is pathetic. I can't even run 1080p with SMAA on High to get decent framerate without huge drops in many places.
