Saved game zeroed

So I've been playing for a couple of hours (7 I think it is) and been enjoying this redone classic. Then this morning when I started up the game again it didn't load my last save from yesterday. I had been playing last night, saving as I made progress, and the last thing I did was to save before I shut down for the night.

Now the game starts at the very beginning (not where I left off as it did before) and no save can be loaded (there seem to be none). When I check the save folder "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow\Cyan Worlds\realMyst" I have four files out of which two are save files. Problem is: They are both dated and timestamped today when I started the game.

Anyone else had this problem? Can it be fixed? Or did I just loose all my progress and have to do it all over again? Help me out here please.

same thing happened to me today - all previous save stages have been lost :-/ Myst starts over from the beginning. Last time (about x-mas 2015) I had just dicovered and entered the extra age Rime and had to quit the game there. Now I was hoping to start exploring Rime. But all is gone.
