I am glad i spent the money every time i get to boast...so smug
The 770 is a nice card but is starting to show it's age now, you could always pick up another 770 for SLI and you'll probably max out Assetto Corsa at 1440p
The 780 is better than a 970 for example, but the 980 is slightly better than the 780.
nvida card are easier to understand the model number meanings.
The same is true for amd/ati cards until last year. 5870 6870 are nearly the same card. The 7870 is a new generation. I have the HD 7970 x2. The r9280 is nearly the same as a HD7970. That part is too hard to explain.
The new amd method is a bit more complicated. They want to sell more cards and confuse us, but if you go by bits you will be alot better off. 256 bit or better is what you want to look for. Thats the simplist way to tell what you are getting.
Black friday sales are starting now. so hunt newegg.com.
