feels like abandoned
after the release its been almost 4 month but still there is no proper update just small hotfixes. this is after steam early access. still no ai, still no proper flag system, still no proper pit stops, still no rolling start and safety car and the list goes on and on and on.. i almost feel like mine was a bad decision as buying and supporting the devs. What a shame as the physics engine etc is-was best of the class..

I take you haven't been around lately. AC is still in heavy production, in both features, fixes, and content.
One of the main devs showed us the upcoming changelog in his livestream on youtube.
Read here: https://www.reddit.com/r/assettocorsa/comments/3du70j/12_patch_notes_from_stream_update_not_released/

The next live stream starts in 6 hours if you wanna watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9q7cHWdrQA

I will never ever buy a early access game again. I have been burnt way too many times. In the future i will evaluate the finished product reviews then decide if I want to buy it.
Why should PC supporters finance games intended for consoles????

But why? All the features and content planned for game release (v1.0) was delivered when the game was officially released. They never promised you the most complete sim racing game, but they said it is a work in progress, to be supported even after game release, with new features, fixes, and content.
Tell me what did they fail during early access, did they over charge you, did they not deliver some specific feature or content promised during early access?
I think you are being extremely unfair.

It's not abandoned, but it will take many years for it to be close to a 1.0 quality/complete product.
Also its physics was never the best of the class.[www.virtualr.net]

Those are unfundamented things, no data to back it up. The only thing worth from that was the SAT values, which got corrected in the upcoming game update v1.2.
Everything else is just people opinion without any proof. I could say plenty of things about every game, be it true or not, but what's worth if I can't prove any of that. Just like the stuff from your list.

You must be confused since it didn't mention anything about SAT values. Did you even read the link?

Yep it's the one from mak corp. Is not your usual list of "what's wrong with AC". I guess you abandoned that idea, since has no fundament or no data.
Same thing with the opinion of mak corp, is just his opinion. Has no data or other proof to say what's wrong or not. Just because some teams use rfactor engine to test cars, doesn't make other sim racing games bad for that.
But the Vallelunga team that has formula abarth to teach people in single seaters, use the game software to give people extra practice. Kunos and ACI team created the formula abarth in cooperation. That single seaters school also had Daniil Kvyat doing the formula abarth both in game and in the real track/car.
One of the Aston Martin GT3 race teams used AC to develop the car graphic model and physics. Is not released in game, I think is still just for that teams testing usage.

Mak corp as your prrof this time lol, they released their f3 mod and it was just a model and physics from the formula k example car untouched. They have zero credibikity after releasing such crap. When it came out and I told them that the biggest issue was that the front tyres werent generating heat they said this shouldnt matter. So front tyres that werent generating any temperature was not an issue and the fact they didnt even touch the physics for their first 1.0 release shows how credible anything that delusional guy says is.

They updated it a little since but going by the guys attitude and what they passed off as v1 of their mod why would anyone even bother. Maybe if they called it .1 alpha and temp physics without trying to claim they actually did something when they just did a direct copy of the template car bugs and all lol. Their awesome beta testers couldnt find such a blatantly obvious and critical physics issue and petros him self said it was not even an issue.

I actually expected something decent from the self claimed greatest mod team but they releaesd a half baked pos worse then any unofficial rip mod. They alsonwere proud of their work of which they did nothing other then import a model into AC with a full modding corporation. I kind of just laugh when I see that name mak corp and the guys views of himself, pretty much in the same way as any time is see ass ociator post here.

I don't really understand why you pop in everywhere to talk ♥♥♥♥ about this game and praise others. It doesn't change anyones opinion, it just makes you look like a bit of a knobhead.

Mak Corp is a very respected and experienced modding team as they have the real Formula E series as client among others.

This quote again... no matter who is saying it, when it's "The physics (of AC) seem very much like Forza Motorsport 5" just shows how little time the poster put in familiarizing themselves with either of these titles.

And frankly as an owner of both AC and rF2 and being fast enough to get the cars to proper limit so they work as designed, there is actually little difference between on the limit handling in both sims.
So using somebody who never put enough time to familiarize himself with the sim as a guideline to show off "which sim is better" or whatever is just wrong imho.

ps: no i don't think AC physics are "bettur!" than rF2.
BOTH games use real world data and while rF2 might be more accurate in fine details of "on the limit racing", there are several points of under/over the limit driving where AC actually can do better (because more robust tyre model of AC works better in places where the data is dubious or just not available).

edit: eph looks like the discussion has heated up already, welp i post too slowely lol~

Very respected? lol. Pretty much any modder that handles the physics of a car mod can do it too. It's not black magic.

There are very good F1 car modders in AC community, including the hybrid F1 cars from the last season.

But whats the point in bringing up Mak? It's not changing anything its just making people think you're a knob.

Ah, here comes Associat0r...

Do you actually have a life, or do you just sit there in your underpants talking about how horrible AC is all day?
hexagramme (Banned) Jul 21, 2015 @ 4:33pm
Indeed AC feels more or less abandoned, even though it's not. Such a poor job on physics and core features, you have to wonder how long it will take before it's fully up to scratch, if it ever will be.
