Huge lag in Windows 8
I reinstalled my OS and switched from Windows 7 to Windows 8. While on Win 7 Aquaria worked flawlessly, now it lags like hell. Starting from the dev intro, mouse movements are choppy, animations are in slow-mo, etc. I disabled v-sync, frame buffer effects and launched in Win7 compatibility mode. Still lags. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Why did you switched from W7 to W8? Windows 8 sucks for gaming.

For a stupid reason: I was curious. I like how fast it boots but all the effort to make it work surpasses its plusses. On the topic: I reinstalled Aquaria and ran it in windowed mode with all options off. It seems to work.

You have my condolences about the Win 8 downgrade. Unless you have a touch screen it will not be for the best. It really isn't for gaming, and what's more that fast boot makes it harder to self repair unless you know what you are doing.
