Display Issues with AMD GPU on Ubuntu
I recently switched my graphics card from an Nvidia GT 240 to an AMD Radeon HD 6790. Aquaria worked flawlessly under the Nvidia card, but now there are display issues.

Right from the opening menu screen, the entire game is shifted down to the bottom quarter of the screen. It isn't squished or anything; it's just all shifted down, and the upper three quarters are black. I can fiddle around blindly and start a new game, but this doesn't change anything. The audio is fine.

I'm using the Ubuntu-recommended proprietary AMD drivers (fglrx-updates, version 2:12.104-0ubuntu0.0.1). I was also using Ubuntu 32-bit the last time I successfully played Aquaria (maybe a year ago).

What could be wrong? Is there any chance of this being fixed?

Thank you.

Steam System Info:
Ubuntu 12.04.4, 64-bit
Driver: ATI Technologies Inc. AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series
Driver Version: 4.2.12217 Compatibility Profile Context 12.104

Try to change the resolution on desktop before starting Aquaria.

The best case is the same resolution on desktop as the configured resolution in aquaria.
Or choose a lower resolution on desktop than configured in Aquaria.

This solved the problem on any games on my AMD computer with catalyst driver.
