Secret "Simon Says" miniboss

You know, the thing that gives you the third cooking slot if you can beat it. Is there a way to set the eight notes to the number pad? Trying to play this kind of minigame by waving a mouse cursor around is really stupid. Your wrist twitches too much and you end up accidentally swiping an adjacent note trying to keep up. Or it gives you two of the same not in a row, and you think you moved the cursor off once to hit the note again, but you didn't move it off all the way, so you strike out when you go to the next note in the sequence. And it all goes on for way too long AND there's a timer for each round.

Nevermind, I just got it. I lucked out and got a sequence that was almost a complete counter-clockwise sweep. But this method of trying to play the game is still dumb.

I did this with my mouse and it wasn't easy but it wasn't impossible either.

Mapping the singing to the numpad would be a nice idea though.

Is THAT all this boss does? Gives you a third cooking spot?
Forget that. Never mind the mouse-vs.-keypad debate, I suck at memory games in general ESPECIALLY with the added pressure of a time limit. I don't need a third cooking slot badly enough to bang my head against this; maybe later, when I've collected everything else.
That being said, how many rounds does this guy have? How long a sequence do I need to eventually be able to retain?
