I've tried the suggestions on the forum to get the game working, but Ace patrol and pacific skies either just close when I try and start them or freeze and close. I know there are people on the forum who have gotten the game working by going through various steps, but a patch that gets right to the point would be great.

Have you tried adding the game to the DEP exception list? That fixes many games that crash with no other explanation (outdated or missing dependencies, etc). I've been thinking about purchasing this title, but I don't have it yet, so I can't test this theory.

I haven't tried in a few months, when I first encountered this problem I tried everything I could find the forums so I probably tried that. I may try again later if I get the itch the get this working. I got it on a hummble bundle anyway.

Weird, seems the probs with this game are exactly the same as a year ago. I can't get the original ace patrol to work (black screen issue), yet the pacific game works no problem ????

Yeah, it seems that they haven't tried to make any offical patches.
