Would it be Atlantic theaters and coastlines for Navy and over France UK Germany etc. for Army? If so sure.

My biggest wish for a mod would be to hold large-scale battles. Well. large-er. maybe twice the sice, say 7 aircraft each or something.

You may want to consider "Achtung Spitfire" and "Over the Reich" then. Ace patrol feels like a cheap and very shallow rip-off of these 2 games if I had to speak bad of Sid meier (still I enjoy Ace patrol on ma phone).

At basic level, the game place like ace patrol but when you go up in difficulty you also have to manage altitude, G-forces / G-loc, firing types (snap shots, bursts etc..depending on your pilot skill) ammunition, damage, pilots, rolls, stalls and spins, engine power, speed and energy etc... and you also do ground attacks, bomber interception etc...In some missions you can easily have like 30 planes on the map ;)

Though, both are old games so they can't compete with the graphics, and the most difficult thing to get is the altitude because of the lack of a real 3d engine...

jump at 4:15 to see a battle mission (BTW: Its the lowest difficulty, so no altitude and rolling mechanism):

thanks, this looks awesome, and I'm definitely building up my non-steam game library once again.
