Worth it?

The obligatory is it worth it thread? I loved TBS and being a history buff and a pilot this is appealing but does it play well. I'm always leary of IOS ports even with Sid's name attached to it.

Works on my Win7 64 system, but the performance is incredibly bad. Like having an 486 again. Very bad port.

Worked just fine for me, win7-64, i5 3570k. It´s a nice game, for it´s price.

I don't about you people, but as soon I saw "Sid Meier" I clicked the buy button.

Played F15 Strike Eagle on the C64 as a liittle kid and haven't been disappointed yet. Sure, some of his stuff isn't as good as the rest, but I've yet to see him put out anything that I would consider to be "bad." At his worst he's average and at his best, well, Civilization, anyone?

Fair warning, this is not a 'big' game title. For what it does, it's quite a fun little game though.

Despite being a big fan of Sid Meier, having played pretty much every game he made since Pirates & Railroad Tycoon, I wasn't too interested in this until I saw it had hotseat multiplayer. I'm a big fan of hotseat games. Is this a good game to play with a mate? It doesn't need to be very involved (we play everything from Worms to MoO2), but it needs to be fun.

It's exactly what you'd expect from the price tag and Sid's name on the front of it. A neat little addictive game with a fair bit of tactics to it. It works fine on my Win 7 64, the guy who made the blanket statement that it doesn't work on this OS is a bit of a nob head for making false blanket statements.

If you're a history buff and a pilot and you haven't already tried it, you really should try Rise of Flight.
It's an authentic WWI flight sim with a fantastic flight model. Awesome GFX and level of immersion.

If you are a history buff this game will make you furious, and you will be dissapointed by the historical innaccuracies and the fictional campaign.
