Potential for a Linux version?
Just wanted to say that Monsters was one of my favourite PS3 games, and I know you guys said you're bringing Pixeljunk Inc. to Linux, so I thought I would ask if there are any plans whatsoever for Linux support for Monsters Ultimate?

Thanks.

Would love this, only just discovered this today, could give it some cover on http://www.gamingonlinux.com if you decided to do a Linux port.

This is easily my most played PS3 game and can't wait to play it all again; the new game modes look awesome.

I never thought I'd see this on Steam - I'd love to see this running natively on Linux.

Can't wait to play this online with some friends.

Hello, official reply from Double Eleven.. We're really busy so I probably wont have time to reply further until the PC version is released.

We can only do one version at once for many reasons, mainly

this game is massive and requires a minimum 24 hours ( as you cant speed up the waves ) to be able to complete one difficulty level.. there are 3 and you never finish every level first time.. its roughly 100 hours to sign the game off as 'good' and 'bug free' once. It consumes our entire test team and half our code/art teams. We have had shifts through the night to sign off on the VITA version.

We plan to do Mac next and that will pave the way for Linux.. PC was painfull as it was our first PC game and we really want to make sure that its is 99% compatible across all OS's and we can support as many PC's specs as possible. Mac will be similar testing across many different hardware configs and OS's.

Once Mac is complete we'll be moving over to linux. I apologise for the wait although this is a logistical problem and there really is no way we can overcome it. Each version is a 14 man job for 2-3 months.

This right here is why I'm willing to pay a few extra bucks if it's any consolation to push the dev team to squeeze in more man hours to perfect it, rather than pay less and potentially get less polish. I don't know if that really makes any sense lol but that's how I imagine it in my head and that's what i'm goin with :D:

This is why I already pre-orded the game, I loved it on PS3 and will be super happy to wait for the Linux Version.
I'd also buy the Shooter Games (1 and 2 and side all bundled?), so I really hope that is in the works somehow!
