Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I DON’T KNOW!

WayForward, please add an Online Coop.
WayForward, as much as I loved your games, (Who are for the most part, fantastic. (Great Job on DuckTales Remastered and Shantae dudes.)) I'm seriously disappointed by the lack of Online, I mean, we are on Steam, probably the biggest Online community ever, and I think it's a shame that this game does not have an Online Coop Mode, because remember : The Coop is THE reason you would want to buy this game, you did some kind of Online Leaderboard for DuckTales, so why not an Online Coop mode for this ? It would've been an insta buy if it was in the Game, why would somebody buy the game 40$ when you have Payday 2, who has an Online mode, for 30$ ?

C'mon WayForward, it's not in your habits.

I second this, the moment I heard I could play with friends I got SO exited, then found out it's local co op only. What a disappointment, so much wasted potential. This game would be a must buy just to play with others.

Why do people keep comparing completely different genres of games? Just because Payday 2 is an online co-op game doesn't mean it should be compared to all other online co-op games.

If I am a fan of topdown action RPG dungeon crawlers, why would I care about Payday 2?
Haubernaughen 28 déc 2013 à 2h32
The point of the Payday 2 comparision is that the game costs $10 less but has more features to it such as online co-op. If you don't care about Payday 2, then perhaps Torchlight would be a better game for comparision. Torchlight is also cheaper and has online co-op.

I'm sure no one is going to do this, but you could always try to organize an Adventure Time community on Tunngle. It is a service that sets up online lobbies for games with LAN. Asking for it here (or asking D3 in general) is a waste of time. Tunngle isn't guaranteed, but actually plausible

Now that is a much better comparision; you could do one better and even talk about how there is a free game with a perfectly fantastic f2p model in this genre called Path of Exile.
Also the only reason I brought this up to begin with is I see people throwing around "Payday 2 is X because Y" in games that it makes no sense all over these discussion boards.

Got my buddy and I all excited to play this, and we just got a slap in the face when we found out it was not online. =(

That's the dumbest thing I've ever read. If you're buying this game it's because you like Adventure Time. If you don't like the show and are looking for a good dungeon game, there are way more games to choose that are better than this.

Peppermint Buttler DLC for 1.99? You know they planned this ahead of time. I feel sorry for the people that give them money, shouldn't be encouraging mediocre products just because of the brand name. Don't get me wrong though, I love Adventure Time.

Yeah, it sucks too because their first Adventure Time game was pretty decent.

Saying "that's the dumbest thing you have ever read" is up there with the dumbest things I'VE ever read. If you buy this game SOLELY because you like AT and not because you like the gameplay, you are a complete sheep. I love AT but I have standards.

Fans like you are the reason these companies put out poor products in the first place. If you like the game, cool. Everyone has their own opinion and standards, but don't drag the discussion down to yours just because we expect more for our money.

You basically said it's a bad game but we shouldn't complain because it's modelled after a show we all like. Really?

I love Adventure Time. I love gaming. I don't love this Adventure Time game. An inconsistency that shouldn't be. Pretty simple. I don't hold anything against anyone who likes it, though.

If just slapping a logo and some characters in a cliche dungeon template without using the full capabilities of the available hardware and distribution platform is good enough for you, I am super happy that you are so easily pleased and wish you luck on your future shopping for Lady Rainicorn bed sheets or whatever other half-baked merch these guys want to put out.

There's two reasons why I didn't buy this title out right.

1. No online co-op.
2. The 3DS version is cheaper.

In both instances it seemed like abuse from the developer. What a waste, I love Adventure Time.
