How do you get different car models?

I can download the paints on the workshop, but it doesnt work in game?

Could you please post the download link? How did you select the paints in game?

I understand that this is just a skin, I just don't know where to get the model from. If I go ingame to profile and then models, the skin is available, but it just shows a white version of the standard car.
