Sir, You Are Being Hunted review.
The gameplay of this game is stealthing around 5 islands in search of parts of a device to restore your teleporter thing. As you restore the device increasingly dangerous robots come out. All while having to loot houses for food, so you don't die of starvation, distraction items, ammo, weapons, and useless items. Generally the idea seems well on paper, but when you get into it, it all falls. The stealth is easy, robots seem to be nearly blind, so while this is a good thing for you, it lowers the intensity. You can just as easily throw a distraction item, go up, grab it, and run off. Despite this, after collecting enough pieces to were the horse guys come in, stealth is the only viable things as these guys will 2 shot you to death. Also, guns are generally useless. It attracts more enemys and is generally an awful idea. Like stated there are a vairty of British robots to avoid, and they are all mostly unique. Take the mechanic horse riding chap for example. He is bright, loud, and easy to see. But the sound of him charging you is one of the most terrifying thing, as you know A, You're going to lose half your health, and B, the loudness will atract more bots. Besides it sound like a giant train about to ram you, so its pretty terrifying. Looting is unrewarding, as you really only need to get food. And the game is also really easy. Having to worry about hunger may sound tedious, but it really isn't that bad.
The game sounds great, from the chit-chatter of normal bots, to the creepy noises of the "Bringer of Death", to gunshots, horse rider sounds, to just about everything. So real quick, the bringer of death is actually the "Land owner". His noises are creepy, and he has a 1 shot AOE attack. You can hear him from awhile away (and everything else), and his direction thanks to good making of the sound. Although some sounds (like the balloon siren) sound a little distorted
There, fine. They look neat, and serve the game right. All the robos have unique designs, and the diffrent enviroments on each island is pretty good looking.
Real quick, I'm gonna go over each of the bots I remember (I DON'T REMEMBER ALL OR REMEMBER THERE NAME/ WHEN THEY COME)
Standard bot: Wielding a shotgun, hes your generic battleman
Dog bot: Often with standar bots, there fast, and pin you down apon attack
Balloon: In the sky/big/ and with a light to reveal your postion. He makes a noise apon seeing you, alerting others.
Squire: Neutral, only attacks when attacked, drops a shotgun upon death, lots of health.
Landowner: Sorta like slenderman but actively moves, this segment will be long. He has 2 robo dogs, and a 1 shot insta kill cane. He is aggresive, but wanders aimlessly untill he stumbles apon the player. If he sees you, he will know where you are at all times. Hes unkillable, and really erie. I don't even know if he spawns upon creating a island, or if he appears after awhile.
Mecha horse rider: Rides a hors and 2 shots you, massive health, if he spots you, basically game over.
Scarecrow: Weeping angles/ scp-173 clone.
Its a ok game, I recommend it, but its not for everyone. 8/10
