Sir, now we don't work
The Haggis update seems to have broken my game. Ran like a breeze before. Now, it crashes upon starting.

Does it just delete itself, give and error message or what?

Nothing. Just crashes.

I seem to have been bitten by the 64 bit version bug. When I follow thier instructions to force the 32 bit version, that one is playable.

incase anyone else is having this problem, I'll post the same fix the devs reccomend:

If you would prefer to force Sir to run as 32-bit, you can do so like this:
right click the game in your Steam Library and select "Properties"
click "set launch options"
type "-force32" into the box (without the quotes) and press OK
close the properties window and launch the game as normal.

Tried the -force32 fix and it still crashes upon start. Using Windows 8 Pro 64 bit.

Me too. It's definately a 64 bit issue of some sort though, cause before this update, the game ran flawlessly.

Quantoxis: do you see any error message at all?

Goblin: we do have a known 64 bit issue that's not affecting everyone. We're working hard to resolve it (we've actually issued a speculative change to the way Steam installs the game earlier today) but it's proving rather elusive... Any and all information (log files, error messages, etc) are useful!

I'll keep an eye out Phunk. I love this game, one of my favs. And, I do look forward to it's smashing return to 64 bits. I dig the new additions too.

Tried again and the game now works with and without the -force32 launch.

Ah. Just tried, for me it still needs the launch option.

Works for me. I have a mac 10.6.8 with 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5. Don't know if that helps but it runs completely smooth with no lag on highest graphics.

I just tried again, no dice. Still need the force launch. AMD graphics card, 8 CPU's at over 3 gigs a piece. 16 gigs ram. I do miss seeing the proper gorgeous 64 bit version. I await the next update.
