Which are the servers you're trying to join? Can you share a log file or other further information?

I've been researching the guides extensively and the most recent guide to multiplayer is from 2015. I find it extremely dissappointing that after so many years of developement and several promotional sales later that this game still has what seems to be no multiplayer developement. And before Phunk comes to give some generic answer about it being the firewall or port forwarding, that is not a proper solution. If it where, there should be an updated guide and a community that could play it together rather than being forced to type on forums searching for a solution to a problem that the devs continually refuse to acknowledge, let alone solve.

Hi Phoenix; sorry to hear you're so unhappy. The advice on the 2015 guide is still correct. I quote:

If you’re hosting a server that appears in the browser list and other players can’t connect, the most likely cause is the firewall on your computer is not set up to allow Sir through.

If you’re sure the firewall is not the culprit then the default port for the server is 44466, which can be forwarded at your router if necessary.

If your Windows/other firewall isn't set to allow the game through, there is literally nothing that I can do to fix that short of coming to your house and clicking the button for you. If the NAT doesn't work (which is usually due to a combination of specific hardware/software configuration between client and server that is impossible to predict) then the alternative is to configure port forwarding and/or connect directly.

If you're having a specific problem then please post details and I'll help if I can.

Like Phunk said its the firewall. I had the same problem and I just had to check the firewall settings. Thats all you have to do. Tick an empty box basicly....
