Grenades.
I got on as a German Grenadier and I threw a grenade, held it for a while to cook it, but they both just landed on my feet, and one didn't even explode.

also the sounds of the grenades are weird and they dont make a big exposion and also they cant be thrown far which is annoying. every class should have at least 1 grenade apart from snipers and mgs

grenades dont have big explosions, and they are limited in range.

The role of grenades will change once the assault squads take the field. Each class will certainly not get a grenade as it is not call of duty one man army, might as well just give everyone a pistol. I think the poilu's and landers will get even more focus on rifles than before.

The grenade bug as currently exists will be fixed in the future, we are about to rewrite the projectile system netcode.

The poilu and landser rifle squads should focus more on rifle/mg where the assault squads will all get grenades. Giving the assault classes the ability to throw further etc. would make choosing the assault classes all about lobbing grenades, gas and getting close. The goal is that the decision to fight in a certain squad is quite dramatic, the roles in them not so much (more based on task division)

so whats going to happen to the Grenadier class?

This is quite off-topic but as this about squads being designed for specific tasks was said here: What about balance? Will it be allowed to have, say, only assault squads in a game? As you can't really chose any squadtype but that of your own squad, unwanted tactical disadvantages could arise. Suggesting that squads waiting for deployment shall be assigned to the game that features lesser of the same squadtype when multiple ones are available in the future.
