Game breaking exploit: Flanders OP hiding spot, nerf or feed
Hello guys!

I am a Verdun player, currently enjoying the game a lot. Thanks developers! However, today when me and my brother, who is a high skilled player, were playing in Flanders as Canadian Squad. I knew from my previous experiences with that map that though it is very open, there are a lot of hiding spots were the enemy is not able to see you.

Of course, since I am a gamer, I have exploited this hiding spot a lot, in order to get more kills. Basically what you need to do is go to a water pool, preferable a water pool in the enemy trench, and make sure that you are not officer so people won't spawn on you. Then, you need to prone in the water, so everyone playing with high or ultra quality is not able to see you. You won't die, since World War I soldiers were able to breath under water.

Aside from the trolls, there should be a fix for this, for example people should not be able to prone in the water. I have used this trick a lot, and I want to share it with the rest of the world now. For an example of what I mean, see this video from my live stream, where my high skilled brother is demonstrating it.

cool post, really they just gotta get rid of the staying long underwater thing, idk why drowning isnt a thing yet especially with maps like flanders

Yes, especially if maps in Aisne or near the Marne are added in the future. Of course we won't be able to swim, but I guess there will be more pools like those from Flanders in these maps. This should definitely be fixed!

Is it the time? He doesn't seem to stay down for very long in the video - you could definitely hold your breath for that long.

But wasn't the issue with the muddy pools in Flanders that they trapped people like quicksand?

Can confirm that drowning code is not working: was in the pool for 60 seconds, tried to hold my breath that long in real life; didn't work out that well.
sooooo
it has been in the game since i have started?
why is it game breaking now, who the **** plays flanders?
he can be killed whit 1 nade/ execution

Flanders is one of the official Verdun maps, a lot of players actually play it. It has not been in the game since start, but since the Unity 5 engine. He can be 'killed with 1 nade' but the problem is that he is not visible, so landing a grenade at certain position would require the visibility of the enemy. I would not know why tightening an execution would be relevant for this discussion. Apparently you do not realize that the pools are accessible by both Entente and Central powers inside the trench of the enemy (which means INSIDE the capture zone), causing invisibility and thus the ability to get new waves forever, resulting in a very long attack time.

You can go 3 minutes without oxygen before passing out.

Now as far as the game is concerned, the drowning code should kick in eventually. But Idon't think it's unreasonable to think that a soldier with his life on the line, couldn't hold his breath underwater for a minute or so. People can do amazing things when confronted with life or death situations. If you run by a guy who is smart enough to hide underwater then good for him. In war, you survive by any means necessary.

Imo glitching within a wall or barrel or shooting from off the map is more of a "gamebreaking" problem.

Not gamebreaking? Imagine you are 1-0 ahead as Entente. There is 35 min left on the timer, and you manage to hold the first Central attack. Now, the Centrals are defending their trench properly, but one Entente manages to get to one of the pools in the enemy trench in Flanders. The Entente will receive new waves over and over again for 35 minutes, because the Centrals can't find the Entente soldier since they have no Alpenjäger class to call in a recon plane.

i think for the most people its simply to boring to ly there and wait for kills, so i dont see a big problem.

No I don't think it's a gamebreaking problem, unless of course there was a bug where they werent executed for desertion or the drowning code didnt kick in after a reasonable amount of time. I think glitching into a tree, wall or off the map is a much larger issue considering people can actually hold their breath in real life. War is hell!

@ umpfz, I agree that it would be too boring for most people to sit there and wait too.
