the larger template and friendly fire is being tested in private matches and the results are very encouraging. i heard a rumor that a private command to set squad levels is being considered, and i would love to test that, whatever features it might have.
They'd have limited lateral traverse*, and essentially locked* onto the second-to-last trenches but you could use your call-in support with some much needed protection from the enemy just waiting to pop anyone moving out of the last trench. (Flanders and Douaumont come to my mind as having some of the worst last trenches)
*So one can't just camp at the periscope and be able to hit every part of the trench(es). E.g. Using a far right periscope from the Entente's last trench on Flanders, you'll only being able to hit the right side of the trench you're trying to recapture.
Note: I would only make them usable when you've lost the trench and are trying to recapture during the potentially last counter-attack.
Very good idea though
