UNUFFICIAL Players ideas brainstorm
For the last years I've seen how this game has been lacking for a new big content patch (only bug fixes, very important though), however I'd like to see some more content coming to this game. So I've started this forum to collect all these amazing ideas some people have.
Please keep in mind these ideas have to be possible; no tanks, airplanes, fronts, etc. only rhings that could be made with minimum time and effort from the devs.
PD: Pls keep this forum free from comments such as " This is a stupid idea"," We don't need that, fu**** noob" and similars.

I personnaly propose a little but very useful gadget. "Trench persicopes", these were commonly used during the Great War and were a crucial part during attacks or reconnoisance, they could be like binoculars, with any zoom effect, that allow NCOs to look over the trench and call in artilery or coordinate attacks without exposing themselves to snipers.

Can try search function, Trench periscopes have came up before. Many are against them for encouraging camping NCOs using callins with 0 risk.

seams reasonable, this somehow could be fixed by making its visibility very low no?

Would still have the issue of callins with 0 risk. There's also no loadouts for them, maybe it would fit the Sentry squads.

more admin commands for private matches. things can be tested in private matches without upsetting the old guard.
the larger template and friendly fire is being tested in private matches and the results are very encouraging. i heard a rumor that a private command to set squad levels is being considered, and i would love to test that, whatever features it might have.

I've thought you could replace the binoculars with them, like excanging vivibility for protection or similar

Binoculars were more common and game doesn't let you switch out existing items.

I would personally rather see usable trench periscope props (via the B key) on the last trenches.

They'd have limited lateral traverse*, and essentially locked* onto the second-to-last trenches but you could use your call-in support with some much needed protection from the enemy just waiting to pop anyone moving out of the last trench. (Flanders and Douaumont come to my mind as having some of the worst last trenches)

*So one can't just camp at the periscope and be able to hit every part of the trench(es). E.g. Using a far right periscope from the Entente's last trench on Flanders, you'll only being able to hit the right side of the trench you're trying to recapture.

Note: I would only make them usable when you've lost the trench and are trying to recapture during the potentially last counter-attack.

Dont add anything new...until bugs are fixed.

It's a good idea, not what i imagined but very nice. Intead of having them only in the last trench you could place some in historical places, like artillery trenches, some in the secon line, etc.
Very good idea though

I wouldlike to see more of the war itself. Possibly an eastern front map and an addition of russian troops. But i would preffer if factions were locked into location and time period. I would like if maps that recreate battles from early in the war were limited to those who were actually there. For me it breaks the imersion to be at the battle of verdun and see american soldiers who did join the war at that time. But that is just my opinion.

Game is set on the Western front, so other fronts can't be added to it.
