Please explain the Episode, TV show element, because I do not get it.
On the games site in the features list there is this:

A strong storyline and fusion between the player and Garry that’s based on television series where the character’s story is as important as the general history.

Also on your old IndieGoGo page there is something about the story playing out in 2 hour episode.

Could you explain a bit, cause with the limited info given I can't really form a picture of what this is all about.

I am on the game design and level design team on the game and I can answer you that it was originally episodic, but we decided to go with the players demands and make it a full fledged game. There is no television serie based on Day One, it was a manner of speaking to explain that the character development was important in the storyline of the game. The game is most likely around 10 hours of gameplay instead of two.

I definitely had my trepidations of the episodic format, so I'm glad you guys decided to put it all into one larger package.

Though you mention 10 hours of gameplay, I assume that's just one playthrough. There's still an open-ended nature to the game with meaningful game choices, so there should be some replayability, right?

We modified the original idea and we still leave the player to choose how to live his experience. Some choices will change the difficulty of the game and events. The replay value of the game is mainly around crafting, survival and extra missions where you can discover a special cutscene per example.

Sounds good.

ClayMeow isn't the only one with trepidations on the original episodic nature of the game. Doing some quick reseach you find out about the original episodic nautre and the price points per episode. Before this thread I was under the impression that this was the first episode and that you were charging 3X as much for it as before the game arrived on Steam. A sticky with some history of the game and what this version consists of would of been helpful to me.
