I Thought It Was a Myth
Picked this up in the $1.49 Monday Indie Gala bundle with the idea that "it can't be as bad as people are making it out to be".
First off I got stuck on some rubble when the temple was falling apart, I had to wiggle and dance to get over it then had to repeat it when the place finally fully collapsed because it took too long.
Then the infected tribe guys come. Wow. Head goes rolling in one shot and they have crazy speed.

I have a pretty big tolerance factor. But wow, just wow. 25 minutes in and I couldn't be bothered to proceed. Maybe I'll pick it up again later. Oh, and I also love how you don't have to break things to get the goodies inside.

How far did you make it?

To the opening menu screen. Lack of any version of "low" settings and a complete lack of graphics card detection doesn't sit well with me. It's clearly not hard to set it up so that the max resolution the game allows you to achieve is your card's max resolution, but no...here I am on a 1366x768 screen and the game is trying to give me 1920x1080. Anyways, I just left it running for the cards then closed it because there's like half a second of mouse lag due to the graphics being too high.

Half an hour or so. Made a few quests. Performance was really awful. ~20fps most of the time. Couldn't bother to continue. At least got a laugh or two from random instant kills by something.

Steam says 2 hours but I played more than that, it's just I was in a hotel and the WiFi was so bad I couldn't do anything that needed internet and figured that since it was installed already and no friends to talk to, I'd play it. I died all the time from the tribals cause the gun can't kill and melee is really bad since the tribal's will deal a lot of damage to you and they move really fast. I even died from jumping from the 4th step of the pyramid. One time I even loaded inside a tree after I died and from then on I always respawned inside the tree. I was able to get out of it everytime but that does mean I ever figured out what to do but find puzzles and doesn't mean the puzzles I found weren't the easiest puzzles ever. Though I still don't know what the game wanted me to make that one time.
