As for the game appearing to be "frozen" an unofficial fix for now is to hit B to get past points where the game appears to be doing nothing. It will get the game back out of "busy" mode. Just don't use it liberally.
Also, if I may ask, what are your system specs? We have the minimum system specs listed on the store page.

The other room with the table also has similar problems though it seems more like she jumps on top of the table as she crosses it or disappears until she's on the other side.
Note that this can also cause her turn animation to last several seconds. I think someone else has mentioned this bug. It's a real bug (not always accompanied by the issue above) and it's not just the way the animation works. The turn animation visibly gets very slow.
Thanks for the patch. Very quick! Love the game BTW.
Thank you so much for confirming this, Vorlath.
Thank you for the support and the sweet words, Rammur! We do try our best, we know we're not perfect and we have ways to go but we sure hope at least to make the gaming experience the best we can to all of you :)
When Erica pulls the alarm and Gallagher leaves she gets frozen when she's exiting the building. Then Erica walks through the table downstairs on her way to examine Davies' body. Just mentioning a few of the ones I've noticed as they pop up. I don't mind since Episodes 1-3 are pretty much achievements runs for me.
The DRM Free versions I played work pretty flawlessly from before though. =)
I did manage to prevent the previous mentioned bug on the city map where I couldn't proceed. There are still popups of locations I haven't discovered yet though, but they are usually gone after 1 second. Overall playable but buggy! Still enjoyed the first episode tho, I'll try if these issues persist in the following episodes now.
i had random freezes as well. the movement overall had been okay. the only bugs i got whilst on the Episode 1 play-through last night were mostly in the office:
When she was talking to Sully at the office, she's facing away from him.
When she goes to sit down at her desk, she's not facing the computer, but plants herself 90 degrees left of it. (she's also not quite sitting on the chair)
Hell, it's not even really a thing to bother filing bug report or whatever b/c I don't even have any save data to show as so freakin' early in the game--my game crashes right before the conversation w/ Erica & Sully even ends (it crashes right as in-between Johns coming by Erica's desk and tells Erica & Sully he's head home). Kinda weak, really. :(
How soon can we expect to get this patch?
EDIT: Ha, seems like no sooner I finished typing; I realized the patch was already downloading through, lol,
Unfortunately, though it didn't solve the problem I'm having w/ the practically crashing on me before I even really begin. Dammit, I wish I could've used by old save data from my other copy of Ep 2.....:(
Then I wouldn't have even need to start over
Dubesor is that the steam version in the video?, the reason i ask is you don't have the mouse by your name that indicates you have the game
Only experienced one major bug. In Longmore's apartment when trying to inspect under the rug post conversation with Sully, Erica's model got stuck on Sully's, warped through him into a kneeling position, and everything just locked up.
Very minor bugs:
1. My regular cursor has always appeared on top of the custom in game one.
2. The radial menus are terrible at acknowledging "Tap to click" from my laptop track pad.
System specs: 2.3 Ghz Intel i7, 8 gig DDR3 RAM, Nvidia GeForce GT 650 M 512 MB Graphics, Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5
