This game is incredibly buggy!
So, I saw this pop up and it looked interesting so I decided to give it a shot. I played circa the first 30 minutes of Episode 1 and already ran into a dozen bugs and it's shocking and annoying how these obvious bugs are in a finished product. First there are huge pathfinding issues, where Erica will be stuck in certain objects, animation bugs out frequently, weird interactions with people I am talking to (standing inside of them while talking for example), Game freezes, and weird bugs that won't let me continue the game. For example after you go to bed after visiting the Antique Shop I can hear the shower and Erica telling me to go to work there is just a map with the locations and it stays there, no option to proceed, no mouse cursor nothing. Restarted the game like 3 times now but I ran in sooooooo many bugs in those 30 minutes of play that I am not even interested in the game anymore.

Just giving you guys a heads up that this game is clearly not very polished.

Here is just a small snippet regarding one of the bugs (this happened to me many times in just 30 minutes):

We are currently working on a fix that should correct some of the issues you mentioned. The engine changed a lot between the first and final episode, but we did do a pass on previous episodes prior to Steam release to catch the major issues. There are still some things that apparently didn't get caught but we're more than happy to assist where we can and update the game frequently.

As for the game appearing to be "frozen" an unofficial fix for now is to hit B to get past points where the game appears to be doing nothing. It will get the game back out of "busy" mode. Just don't use it liberally.

Also, if I may ask, what are your system specs? We have the minimum system specs listed on the store page.

Just want to mention this is the identical bug I mentioned in the tech support forum area.

The other room with the table also has similar problems though it seems more like she jumps on top of the table as she crosses it or disappears until she's on the other side.

Note that this can also cause her turn animation to last several seconds. I think someone else has mentioned this bug. It's a real bug (not always accompanied by the issue above) and it's not just the way the animation works. The turn animation visibly gets very slow.

I just uploaded a new patch. Let me know if it helps.

We will be making a patch available very soon, hopefully some of these issues will be taken care of. Either way, we appreciate all the feedback! Please let us know if these problems continue after the updates.

I can tell that my Steam version does the exact same thing seen in the video above (in mine Erika disappears completely after the shake legs scene) but the drm-free version I started playing when the game was released on Groupees was flawless, not even a single bug or glitch (I've played it up until the "upgrade" scene).

Just tried it. Seems to be fixed. She actually walks around the table now.

Thanks for the patch. Very quick! Love the game BTW.

runs fine for me people need to relize its a indie and not a aaa game. And for a indie and a POINT AND CLICK kinda genre its great.

Thank you so much for confirming this, Vorlath.

Thank you for the support and the sweet words, Rammur! We do try our best, we know we're not perfect and we have ways to go but we sure hope at least to make the gaming experience the best we can to all of you :)

Episode 2 has a few graphic bugs in the morgue.
When Erica pulls the alarm and Gallagher leaves she gets frozen when she's exiting the building. Then Erica walks through the table downstairs on her way to examine Davies' body. Just mentioning a few of the ones I've noticed as they pop up. I don't mind since Episodes 1-3 are pretty much achievements runs for me.

The DRM Free versions I played work pretty flawlessly from before though. =)

Alright gave it another shot. The animation bugs persist throughout the game. Not gamebreaking, it usually fixes after interacting with something else. Some other scenarios I noticed (Morgue walking bug, FBI desk talking with the back to the secretary, Working PC glitching in chair, Apartment floating through the room/over table (you and your partner), Interrogation room glitching through door). Those are the ones I recall right now from EP1.

I did manage to prevent the previous mentioned bug on the city map where I couldn't proceed. There are still popups of locations I haven't discovered yet though, but they are usually gone after 1 second. Overall playable but buggy! Still enjoyed the first episode tho, I'll try if these issues persist in the following episodes now.

lol that bug. octopus leg twerking.

i had random freezes as well. the movement overall had been okay. the only bugs i got whilst on the Episode 1 play-through last night were mostly in the office:

When she was talking to Sully at the office, she's facing away from him.
When she goes to sit down at her desk, she's not facing the computer, but plants herself 90 degrees left of it. (she's also not quite sitting on the chair)

Thanks, good to know a patch is coming because as it stands I can't even get pass the first 6-7 minutes of episode 2 on this version and that never happened w/ my IGS version (I mean it crashed in that version too but not THAT EARLY in game...).

Hell, it's not even really a thing to bother filing bug report or whatever b/c I don't even have any save data to show as so freakin' early in the game--my game crashes right before the conversation w/ Erica & Sully even ends (it crashes right as in-between Johns coming by Erica's desk and tells Erica & Sully he's head home). Kinda weak, really. :(

How soon can we expect to get this patch?

EDIT: Ha, seems like no sooner I finished typing; I realized the patch was already downloading through, lol,

Unfortunately, though it didn't solve the problem I'm having w/ the practically crashing on me before I even really begin. Dammit, I wish I could've used by old save data from my other copy of Ep 2.....:(

Then I wouldn't have even need to start over

I think Phoenix have done a great job making all 4 episodes in the timescale and budget they had, unfortunately the bugs in that video would put me off playing so will wait for fixes before i consider buying.
Dubesor is that the steam version in the video?, the reason i ask is you don't have the mouse by your name that indicates you have the game

Have about 6 hours game time clocked myself on episode 1 after tonight. While there's been minor pathing stutters, silly things like Erica sitting on air next to her chair at the office rather than in it, and characters looking every which way rather then at each other during convo (which funnilly happens in games as big as Mass Effect, HA), they've been infrequent. Luckily, haven't been hit by anything like the above video.

Only experienced one major bug. In Longmore's apartment when trying to inspect under the rug post conversation with Sully, Erica's model got stuck on Sully's, warped through him into a kneeling position, and everything just locked up.

Very minor bugs:
1. My regular cursor has always appeared on top of the custom in game one.
2. The radial menus are terrible at acknowledging "Tap to click" from my laptop track pad.

System specs: 2.3 Ghz Intel i7, 8 gig DDR3 RAM, Nvidia GeForce GT 650 M 512 MB Graphics, Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5
