How do you play Nuclear Throne?

I currently am trying to get achievements b-skins and golden guns rather than "beat" the game. I find this more fun since you have a goal rather than just hope you survive and dont get a portal spawn under a car with no boiling veins in 5-3...

Cars spawning right where a portal has been fixed, a while ago.

Well, I think that you'd find that if you keep trying to beat the game you'll get better, and the first time you do is such an adrenaline rush. Hoping you survive is kinda part of it, but as you get better you'll notice things that you found to be difficult (such as 5-3) will become second nature and you'll be able to advance further in the game. I used to just try to get golden weapons and stuff thinking it would help me get better at the game, but honestly it really doesn't make that big of a difference unless you have some loop golden weapons. This was kinda messy, but hope it helps.
