Machinegun or Shotty?

I'm debating wether or not i want to keep my golden shotgun or get a golden machinegun :/

When do you usually eat your golden weapon? The shotgun should last a little further than the machine gun so if you use the gold as a boost fairly early I'd reccomend the machine gun.

I usually eat my golden weapon after big dog dies/i find a better version of the shotgun earlier like auto shotty or double shotty

I forgot about robot's passive. The shotgun is pretty easily replace at that point, but if you're looking for weapons that last longer I usually end up taking golden crossbows/golden splinter guns at least to the throne if I find homing bolts.

If you like to be able to reflect bullets, Golden Wrench is excellent. I try to keep everyone equipped with either the Wrench or Crossbow since I'm bad at looping and can't get the Gold Splinter

Technically that counts as looping but eyes+throne butt still makes that area quite trival. AoE is key to clearing out the IDPD there quickly. Something like a cluster grendade, flak cannon, plasma cannon aimed at the area where most of the portals spawn usually does the trick. As for the throne are you having trouble with hitting it or getting hit?

Well the throne 2 is part of the reason why I reccomended the golden crossbow. The fast projectiles from crossbows make destroying the generators, IDPD, and throne 2 quite easy. Though personally nothing beats the super crossbow when I reach the campfire.

This is super accurate IMO. Crossbows are your best friend because they can't be reflected. I go out of my way to get Bolt Marrow and a crossbow weapon (sans Disc). That plus either Melee or Assault Slugger/even better Slugger is my usual game-winning setup.
