Nuclear Throne
Why does it show 7 extra slots after the first 5 if there's only 1 character you unlock?
Actually 2? Eyes and Yung Venuz (?).

So that leaves 6 extra slots... for what, if those are all the characters?

And how to I unlock the "B costumes (?) ?

I just got this game, played the hell out of it for 6 or so hours. Really enjoyed it, but only heard about "B items" offhandedly from other people.

What are the unlocks of this game anyway?

Thank you for your help.

PS: Does this game have plans to add online?

Thanks to anyone who answers and isn't a♥♥♥♥♥♥

Crazy that this game made at least 6 million dollars, selling 508,483 copies at 11.99 for $6096711.17. That's pretty good. Kinda shocked they can't afford to add online??

There are twelve characters, plus two "special" ones that don't appear in the selection screen. You unlock them as you progress in the game, typically by reaching goals. For example, you unlock a character called Steroids at the Labs. Some characters, like Chicken and Horror, are a bit more obscure to unlock.

B Skins are also unlocked by reaching certain goals, though those are often a lot harder than just unlocking characters. I believe it took me around 150 hours of playtime to unlock them all, not because they require any grinding (you could theoretically unlock anything in under an hour) but because that's how long it took to become good enough to do the challenges.

There are also some secret levels. Y.V.'s Mansion is one you might have seen, then there's the Oasis, the reversed Crystal Caves, the Jungle...

It's not that the company can't afford to fix the bugs or add multiplayer, it's that they were a tiny company that almost accidentally made it big and they don't give a♥♥♥♥♥♥about the game anymore.

There's a mod called "Nuclear Throne Together" that fixes some bugs and lets you play online.
The game kind of is a masterpiece either way because online play doesnt matter since NTT is for Windows.
NTT is by far the superior version of NT. As it fixes a ton of bugs. Adds up to 4 online co-op support and modding which also adds PVP and such. Dailies and Weeklies might get supported on NTT as well. But that's still a "maybe"

NTT is litterally NT but online multiplayer... Lore-wise, it feels weird.
I got a couple great runs ruined by bugs again today and I'm getting real sick of it.

We know Vlambeer is never going to fix their product, so... as much as I hate mods (and multiplayer), I might have to resort to installing NTT.

I kind of hate NTT too, though. Maybe the reason the devs haven't bothered to fix their♥♥♥♥♥♥is because someone else did it for them.
