For the love of God - FIX THE MULTIPLAYER!
I know there are other posts about this topic, but I'm hoping to get the attention of the developers.

Hey Devs, I know you're making a port of a board game that came out in 1988, but do us all a favor and get up to speed with the technology of 2013. I know the only way to play a multiplayer game with someone back then was to use snail mail. Since 1988, a great man named Al Gore invented the internet and now amazing things are possible. It's now possible for video games to have a matchmaking system, where the game automatically chooses a random player who is ACTUALLY ONLINE. There is also an amazing thing called a "lobby." In this "lobby" players can see other players that are online and chat with them, as well as join a hosted game.

In a game that is based on 1v1 intense battles of survival against real people, not having a functioning multiplayer not only leads to a lesser game, but also kills your sales figures.

Also, it would be nice if you could play as the genestealers against A.I. controlled marines.

Obviously, this game was rushed, and is still NOT finished. I expect all my DLC fom now on to be free, because currently this game is not worth $10, let alone the $30 we all paid for it.

Thanks for listening to my snarky feedback. I still love this game, so add me on steam if you want to play.

I love the way people think they have the right to demand stuff and give attitude if a game is not up to their standard. I always find a more civilised way is more appropiate; but what do I know?

Yeah, I agree. Quit the sarcasm OP, you're only making a fool of yourself. I've played 4 games so far and found an opponent in less than 5 minutes so I don't have any complains so far.

And didn't they fix the "Always Online" issue in version 1.1?

It's typical Games Workshop product bs. Too expensive for what it actually is. Someone had to say it.

People do have the right to demand stuff for their money. Consumer rights still apply to video games and this one doesn't cut the mustard for £23.

Al Gore created the internet?

Scuse me? You'd better look up the name Tim Berners Lee.

Originally I was shocked that there was no lobby. But then I realized that async is the most natural way to play this game. How many Space Hulk fans do you know that can devote over an hour to playing a single match all at once? Especially when we have people in wildly different timezones. Multiplayer is very functional, and a lobby is very low on any serious list of priorities.

AI-controlled Space Marines? lol.

Regardless of the delivery surely the sentiment is right. I'm thoroughly enjoying the game, which now functions perfectly. As i grow with the game it would ncie to have more multi-player functionality and if this can be added as the game develops, great. I don't mind the whole process being an uber-beta, it's just great to play Space Hulk. When i can play with my RealLife friends who are in different cities on iOS then that will be the icing on the cake.

I hope the Al Gore part was just a joke. If not your argument is henceforth invaild and this topic should be closed.

And well. It is based on the 3rd Edition Space Hulk.

Hahaha, yeah sarcasm can be hard to get across over the internet. Definitely a joke.

Much as I love what a Brit did with hypertext, the internet had been kicking about for decades before the web.

And as for the OP saying the only way to play used to be snail mail, I'm pretty sure I used to avoid any sort of mail by playing with someone in the same room. Seemed to work quite well with only very occasional lag spikes when someone needed a break for biological input/output.

Agree with OP on the state of multiplayer sadly.
Makes me worry about the upcoming JA2 Kickstarter that I backed to be totally frank..

We added "Always online" multiplayer games weeks ago. If no one else is playing MP, then its time to find a few friends to play with honestly.

You have the choice of either async (perfect for travel games) or require sync play. So really dont understand the post, sorry.

@Leech, ignoring the fluff, here's OP's post:

TWK's response is probably appropriate.

As far as the current state of affairs, more than a few of the experienced players have simply stopped random matching, pairing with "friends" only. I've nearly stopped myself, playing someone who's trying to figure out how to play GS, isn't interesting.
