'There is only war!' kill farming

Has anyone found themselves a sweet spot to secure a decent kill rate to farm kills for the 40k achievement?

So far the best I have come up with is using this setup on the Escape Route mission:

Using Brother Zael to block the top corridor with fire and Lexicanum Calistarius to block the exit to the room in the left corridor with Force Barrier allowed for more spawns of Genestealers to gather. Ensuring I had 5+ CP (using Prescience) I set my Overwatches and saved the game.

Currently I am simply loading this save, clicking 'End Turn' then reloading it again. I've acurately calculated that this setup is now yielding 300 kills/hour as opposed to my previous 120.

Of course this is still going to take the best part of 2 months to finish but it's looking up from the previous half a year!

I won't waste my time for a mindless grind achievement.

At best, on Normal difficulty and interrupted by my children, it is yielding around 120 kills/hour.

It is good way I do same two mission ( suicide mission and unknown lifeforms) , but now after versin 1.1 can't anymore count gene turns kills, so i can't use automation keystroke. so If I get 'There is only war!' is not anymore happen this year. What I understand there is no max turns mission that continue so long that you loose or win

Auldyn, can you get gene turn also kills for your 'There is only war!' counter, 300/hour take about 1000 over 3 hour, never I get that. 1000 for me take about 6-7 hour.

Yes the counter does include kills made during the Genestealer turn, in fact all my kills are from overwatch, I don't actually fire during my own turn with this setup.

I wouldn't quite call it cheating, perhaps it's unsporting or not in the spirit of healthy achievement gathering, but I'm not really doing anything outside of what the game allows so I wouldn't call it cheating.

In an 8 hour playthrough I got 800 kills so to do it by solely replaying the game would require another 49 playthroughs which amounts to 392 hours of play, I have simply devised a more efficient way of obtaining this achievement.

I see player: Jebus H Cripes profile 0,04% player have get 'There is only war!' achievement. I not anymore believe that I get 'There is only war!' after version 1.1 too difficult. I take some calculation. If one arount take about 2 minute 2 x 30 = 1 hour, 30 x 10 = 300, not sure is possible get average 10 enemy per turn any mission

I don't believe that guy has used legitimate means to obtain that achievement. He's only played Space Hulk for 10 hours which would require a kill rate of 66 per minute, which is simply impossible, so don't believe it. As far as I am aware nobody will yet have achieved it legitimately as you'd have to play for 2 weeks solid, with no breaks for sleep, which nobody will have done.

Personally, I wouldn't use automation, I prefer to obtain all my achievements 'by hand'. I may have resorted to reloading saved games for a better return in this instance but I still have to perform the reloads and all the playing actions myself.

That said however, I appreciate that some people simply don't have the time to accomplish these things and it's not hurting anyone else in a single player game, so do what makes you happy.
