Mac crashes when quitting Space Hulk

Hello,

I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season. I am having a bit of an issue with Space Hulk and would appreciate some assistance.

I am on a Mac (my computer exceeds all the min specs) running OS 10.7.5. I am also running the latest version of the game.

The issue is that whenever I quit the game, instead of being taken back to Steam, I get a gray screen and the spinning beach ball of death. The only way to get out of the gray screen is to do a forced restart. This is very frustrating. I should add that none of my other Steam games do this.

Anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this?

P.S. Despite this issue I am very happy that this game was brought to Steam.

It's a known Mac issue, I thought the coders caught the issue in 1.3.2, but I guess there's more than one reason for it to happen.

there is STILL no fix for this... and the game just had an update. please fix this!

It's one of those bug that keeps popping up...coders haven't found the reason, so they haven't been able to fix it...tried various things and it's not somethign that happens for all mac users :/

thanks for the post. um do you have any hints, like would it help if i used the newer OS (mavericks)?

what mac do you have? I've run it successfully on my 2009 imac with mountain lion and mavericks. And also on a 2010 MacBook Air with mavericks.

thanks for your reply. i have a macbook pro (late 2011) with 8 gigs of ram. i run all my games on the dedicated GPU (an AMD with 1 gig of GDDR5 ram) any thoughts on why this game keeps crashing when i quit? i have been considering moving to mavericks, but am unsure about it. i hear it takes fewer resources than 10.7.

Sorry, but hard to give hints, when you're having trouble finding the acutal cause of the issue :) Sounds like moving to mavericks is an option, but at this point I can't say unfortunately ;/

I'm on the latest OSX release with a late 2013 Mackbook pro and this issue happens to me every time I exit the game. So upgrading is likely not the fix.
