Unable to play??
Guys
I was playing Spacehulk quite happily when my pc shutdown due to a power failure.
When i logged back into the game, after watching the video all that i can see are 2 banners that move around with my mouse & nothing else?!
I tried deleting then reloading it via steam but again the same happens?
I have windows 7 64, with 8 mb ram, 770 gtx graphics & a i4770 intel cpu.
Any help appreciated!

Verify your local cache files for the game. You probably had a corruption in program data due to the power failure. I suggest you test your other applications that were running at the time as well, and run a disk scan for other possible issues.

Snow? Don't be a wise-acre. He probably means 8 GBs. =p

Try sending your output.log/play.log to support@fullcontrol.dk

If the Verify local cache doesn't work

You can find info on that here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/242570/discussions/0/864977026107127224/

Try verifying your cache files.

Go to "Library". Right-click on "Space Hulk". Go to "Properties" and click it. On the window that opens, go to the "Local Files" tab. Go to the bottom of this tab and click the button with "Verify Cache files" on it. Wait for the application to run, this could take 5-10 minutes. When it finishes completely, close your Steam browser. Exit Steam completely by right-clicking the Steam icon in your Toolbar and then clicking "Exit. (instructions by datguy13)

Okay, next step would be to determine if it's your video card driver. The best way to do that is to do a clean install of the driver.

Here's a decent set of instructions on how do a clean install of your drivers, which is what you will need to do in order to fix this if the driver is causing it.

You can Google each step to get explanations of them as you go along if you don't know how to navigate to the specific areas of the OS that you need to work with. I recommend this research over just giving a flat set of instructions as every gamer should become familiar with clean driver installs because they are a very common troubleshooting step.

Haven't encountered this before, if the problem persists after the coop is implemented we'd need to take another look at this. Unsure what else to do when you have trid the other aproaches. :/

Well, the power outage is the key. I think it's a safe assumption that this will be a software issue in one program or another, although it doesn't hurt to o a diagnostic on the hard drive as well just to be safe. In any case, there's a very good chance it'll be a registry error, a driver corruption, a DirectX corruption or an NVidia PhysX or NVidia Experience corruption causing this. It's possible there is a corruption in the Space Hulk saves a well, and he'll have to delete anything he's put on the Steam Cloud on top of everything else.

Won't know for sure until we go through the standard troubleshooting steps.

Is there a way i can completely wipe Space hulk from steam/my pc then just do a fresh install again??

If you right-click on the game in your Steam Library, there's an option to delete it there as I recall.
If that doesn't work, might be worth completely uninstalling Steam too, and then re-downloading and installing Steam, and then download Space Hulk too?

Try running a Registry repair tool first. I use EUsing Free Registry cleaner, and CCleaner, but there are a few good free ones on the market.

Now that we've established that it's not a driver, we need to do some maintenance on deeper programs such as the OS before we take the drastic step of completely uninstalling the Steam app and the game. That will be the next step after a Registry cleaner, the cleaner doesn't work: Clean uninstall Steam and Space Hulk from the computer in their entirety using a third-party uninstaller, then reinstalling everything. That would be how you completely "wipe" Space Hulk from your PC. It's impossible to "completely wipe" the game from Steam, the Steam software is not coded to do things like absolute removal of a product.

Sorry if I forgot to reply to the mail...I most likely didn't find anything in the log. What's your first name...can probably findit with just that info.
