"There is only war!" achievement not working
A couple of days back I was somewhat surprised to hear that people with only a dozen or so hours had closer to 1000 kills when I have over 140 hours and only 1400 kills in total, so I did some testing today and sweapt through a couple of missions just to see if it was actually tracking my kills, and nope, it was not. So is it just me for whoam this achievement is broken or what? Any idea what might be causing it?

Do you play on Easy? Cause kills on that level don't count. Any kills as GS player in MP don't count. Not 100% sure yet but I believe that kills as SW player on normal/hard don't count - though i could be wrong about that :P

I've the same problem. Playing on normal mode with Space Wolves or Blood Angels in all the missions (with the 3 news included) , it doesn't work. Kills are not counted. This achievement is broken.

I'm actually having the same issue with an achievement not working, but a different one: "Stand Against The Tide" on the Defend mission. I've taken a screenshot of the finished stats screen that includes 9/9 squad members. Yes, I am on Normal mode.

My "Only War" counter is still working. Have you checked to make sure sync'ing is enabled? Sometimes that affects Steam achieves.

For me the kills only count in single player missions. It is not counted for me when I play as Terminators in multiplayer.

After 1.4.2, this achievement is always broken.

Achievements have been quite tricky for us as it's one thing what it says in Steam and another thing what the client has recorded. The coders made a change now so that it should look at both and take the highest number, will have them take another look

@Charly
Have you made sure that you're not playing in on easy, in the pre-quels mission or in multiplayer?

Possibly you need to go back to main menu befor eit updates.

I just tested this myself and I could get the counter moving. However, I did notice that the amount I killed didn't correspond to the number I actually killed int he mission. But after teting it again "only" killing 3 it seemed to have added the number from the previous mission as well...which suggests that there's a slight delay in registering the kills.

But at the moment for me it's working

Thank you for the answer. This morning, I've played some solo games with Blood Angels or Space Wolves and now it works.

I've noticed alot of delays in data retrieval and updating through Steam the last two weeks. It hasn't just been for Space Hulk, but for most of my games' achievements or sync'ing reports, as well as for the forums and I even had some difficulty purchasing a game and gifting a game earlier in the week.

Some of these achievement issues could ultimately be a problem on Steam's end. It might be a good avenue to investigate Zuggi. As a Developer CM, Steam reps might give you some information they wouldn't give a customer like one of us.

You're right, but with my limited time I can only focus on whether or not the achievements are working and hope that Steam gets their servers up to speed on the matter :)

I figured as much, but it never hurts to mention it. Man's oldest conflict: too much to do, and not enough hours in the day to do it. :) I suggest you keep the possibility of pursuing it in mind though, in case your coders' troubleshoots come up with no way to fix a problem in the future. Who knows? Maybe you'll end up saving them some work someday. :) Either way, thanks for the consideration.
