Is the map editor out yet?
I've been playing this for about a year and I can't find any reference to the map editor being released yet.

Hasn't been released yet...Currently in Talks with GW about it, simply being held back until they make a decision.

In the meantime we're working full throttle on Space Hulk Ascension.

I just love how promised features are not yet implemented, but we should not be worried. You are working on new game.... oh i am sorry special stand alone version with squad customization and other things.... probably with good easy to use map editor.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I purchased Space Hulk because FT promised a mission editor on its Steam Store page . Apparently, based on FT's claim to be in "talks" with GW, FT was never even legally capable of delivering a mission editor.

Shame on FT. I would be a fool to buy another Full Throttle product.

BLAME GAMES WORKSHOP. IT IS THEIR FAULT, NOT FULL CONTROL'S! This is an old argument now. A dead horse. And yet you people STILL don't listen to the part about how it is out of Full Control's hands.

Ah so GW being hitler again aka business as usual with them. All good, I'll wait til it comes out.

See any reference to a mission editor? I don't, and unless you can provide evidence that it ever was an ironclad assurance of existance, I'll just assume you read it in the roadmap and instantly assumed it was fact.

He was probably reading the Full Throttle home page looking for a promise of an editor. Key here is, Full Throttle didn't make the game Space Hulk.

I remember there being references to the mission editor on the store page when I bought it - they've most likely (and understandably) removed it due to the delay.

See, now here is a reasoning, intelligent human being who understands the difference between "we want to do this" and "we promise you'll get this."

Thank you, you've restored at least a little of my faith in humanity, and I commiserate with your frustration over not having access to an Editor yet. I hope they are able to give you what you want soon.

Both the official game website and Full Control's website had listed the editor in the features since I've seen them (before release).
It's still visible here: http://www.spacehulk-game.com/about.html

Level editor with ability to share creations (upcoming)

Being able to create your own missions have always been a core 'feature' of the highly modular boardgame.
It's pretty legitimate for a SH fan to ask for that opportunity.
I don't know what's creaking in GW's wheels since the initial announcement but let's hope the editor will be out.
Currently, it's like a fancy Lego toy with all the pieces glued together.

I really wanted an editor and gamepad support. I am sad they failed to deliver on either promise and they are going to sell an Ascension version. Way too many independent developers do that lately.
