MINI REVIEW – PAYDAY: THE HEIST
Developer: Overkill Software
Genre: Action / Co-op
Release year: 2011
☺7 different fun and replayable heists to play with friends
☺Getting new equipment and upgrades as you level up is addictive
☺A very hard co-op game that requires teamwork to survive
☺Robbing money and valuables feels rewarding
☹Stiff gunplay without a huge selection of weapons to use
☹Many boring mission objectives in which you just have to wait
☹No escaping parts in heists
- The netcode of this game is definitely something worth noting, because it's weird and different, compared to a lot of multiplayer and co-op games out there. While a good thing about it is that you can almost play with anyone across the world without any lags (such as players warping from one place to another), the downside is that enemy AI gets more dull as your and your friends ping goes up. The netcode for this game was designed so that people won't have a laggy experience in the first place. Also the game pauses when somebody is joining to your game session.
Personal Rating: "Worth playing"
Traditional Rating: 7/10"Get paid or die trying. Easily recommended for a bunch of friends, despite its few problems."
