The results after 2 weeks and 100 votes are: Yes: 49% and No: 51%. Regrettably we are/I am limited to 100 responses, but the account was free.
I was keeping an eye on the results as votes came in hence I can report the results have been very evenly matched for the whole duration of the poll, I was hoping for a majority ruling but I hope people will be satisfied to call this a “wicked problem” and divisive issue.
While I know both sides have strong feelings, I hoped we could all show some self discipline and respect that others will have different opinions. While certain points really annoyed me, others I implicitly agreed with. My question was one of apathy and (in my opinion) ‘game play’ rather than the angle of “Is this game too hard?” a point I feel was somewhat lost. I recognise that a hard line between Yes and No leaves little room for manoeuvre. And that we must see eye-to-eye to identify problems and concerns before discuss solutions and COMPROMISES.
I end with this: We can use a 3rd party poll to get a (limited) sense of the communities view. Through safeguards the integrity of the poll was maintained, hence I am happy with the recordings. This board lacks the controls and moderations to function effectively. Hence I sure as **** wouldn’t be using this again...
