Walkthrough/Guides
Cannot find any walkthrough or guide for single player campaign here or by googling. Many things are not explained in the manual like not having countermeasures in arcade setting and some missions are not intuitive like having to bomb another aircraft to succeed. I don’t understand the priorities of the developer based on playing some of the single player campaign.

Also only having access to a small amount of jets for single player feels constricting and like a lost opportunity considering the amount available in other modes. Might be a good idea for a mod to have more like in HAWX, JASF, Ace Combat Assault Horizon, etc.

It's possible to add more in yourself if you modify the campaign in the editor to add more. It's not that hard, either. just set go to the editor, then go to campaign editor in the top right, and then edit the campaign data to your liking.

It is true that the briefings do not properly brief you on mission objectives. This is something I hope they improve upon in the future. Even a mission card like with the challenges would be welcome.

As for the available planes for that campaign, I can't remember where it was stated, but it was noted that the roster was curated for what the Bastille Company would have available; mainly narrowed to planes that are neiter dinosaurs, or hyper-advanced.

The aircraft available are aircraft that were widely used within the later cold war era, and one that is a little newer. They are all single seat fighters to fit in with the story as is. The oldest design is the Mig 21, and the newest the Mig 29. The two most effective in the AA role are the SU27 and the F15A, and with no equal in the AG role is the A10 Warthog.

Thanks for replies, was able to edit campaign to add more planes which helped get through campaign. However it only worked by editing the original. When I tried to do a save as to keep origninal intact it did not work. The campaign is still buggy in regards to sound, crashes after cutscenes and the disappearing prince bug at the last mission. No more content should be patched in until the bugs and editor are fixed.

The decision to limit the player based on a story that frankly I wonder if anyone really cares about is questionable. The main driver (which the story could have supported) should be having fun and enriching the gameplay experience. Of course I am speaking from the casual perspective which is still important to grow your customer base.

I applaud the developer for making a jet arcade/sim but this is not a polished realease. From my view I think it should have been more focused and strategic in general. For example more priority should have been given to campaign instead of having so many modes that do not work well and create more work to fix. Also it would have been better to have more plane types instead of creating so many derivations that most do not care about or use.

If this team goes under, which would be a shame because there are not enough games like this, it will be because a lack of strategic planning and focus on exactly what they were trying to achieve. The original plan was perhaps too ambitious maybe because they were trying to keep everyone happy with a huge wish list instead of focusing on 2 or 3 modes that are polished where all the plane derivations could have came later. I hope they can regroup and prioritize better in the future.
